MELISSA DEAH, LMT
"The Posture Mechanic"
Melissa helps her clients improve their posture through Massage Therapy, Yoga, Pilates and Breath Work. When your body alignment and breathing are at their best, you can perform your work, sports and daily activities with more energy, better movement, and less discomfort which leads to a happier and thriving lifestyle.
At a young age she was introduced to yoga by her mother. Immediately she fell in love with the art and physicality of yoga and at age 19 became a Yoga Instructor. Melissa was trained through Yoga Fit levels 1-3, Yoga Strength, Yoga Anatomy and Pre-Natal Yoga. While teaching, she realized something else needed to be added to the practice to increase core stabilization and that addition was Pilates. Melissa trained under Lara Garda in ZenLates, Zenlates is a Mind-Body integrated movement system. Melissa achieves optimal results by fusing Yoga and Pilates together.
In 2008 she added another modality to her portfolio by graduating from Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy. Her massage techniques include Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish Massage and Stretches. She absolutely loves combing her Massage Techniques to create customized sessions for her clients.
Melissa is always seeking out continued education opportunities while learning and working with her clients. When she is not with her clients she spends all her time with her husband, three kids and St, Bernard enjoying shared outdoor adventures.
